What We're Doing
Where We are Now
After completing seven neighborhood meetings and receiving a couple hundred surveys and comments from neighbors over the past ten months, we have now begun the process of compiling all of this feedback and trying to develop a list of key goals and priorities for the Armory redevelopment. In connection with that effort, we needed to finalize a design team for the project.
We are pleased and excited to report that we have retained The Mulhern Group as the project designer and architect. The Mulhern Group is a leading Colorado design firm specializing in master planning with extensive expertise in designing mixed use communities and town centers.
Our Objective
Our goal is to develop an understanding of the community's vision for the future redevelopment and uses of the Armory site in a collaborative and open forum, giving fair consideration to all voices and opinions. Once a basic vision is identified, we intend to work with City staff, the neighborhood and the community at large to design and implement a redevelopment plan based on that vision.
Although existing comprehensive and sub-community plans and zoning designation for the property must be considered, we recognize that North Boulder has undergone a great deal of change in the past 10-15 years, and it is our belief that it is worth taking a fresh look at the community's vision for the property before bringing forward any specific development plan. if the community's vision requires any changes to the existing regulatory framework, we will seek that through the appropriate City processes.

A Community Based Approach
In late 2007, Armory Redevelopment Partners began a series of collaborative, small group meetings with neighbors and other stakeholders to enlist their ideas and suggestions for the Armory site. This process is now continuing through this web site and through additional small group meetings. we are also working actively with City planners to discuss options and ideas and to identify the best approach for bringing a project forward for formal consideration.

I would love to see a small market, decent liquor store and affordable food/drink options up in north boulder.... Northern Sun anyone?
